Success for less With Postcards - 6 steps to create smaller sales letter in the world

Printing and postage costs of direct mail can make a costly investment. But as you have learned, there's nothing like putting your offer in the hands of the consumer.

But hey, who says it should be 5-piece mailer with a brochure, reply card, sales letter, lift letter, testimonials page, and maybe even the kitchen sink? Not me. If you can train yourself to say more with less, you'll get more for less ... with a postcard! Use postcards as a tool to arouse curiosity in what you are selling or generate a response.

6 points for the creation of smaller sales letter in the world

A postcard is based on the same elements of a full-length letter, but in miniature. To achieve the "desired result" - a sale - just go step by small step:

Step 1 - Capture attention with eye-catching graphics.

Step 2 - Bring copy of transition to the eye.

Step 3 - Write copy transition that pushes the reader to flip the card.

Step 4 - Creating a Title "killer" that pulls the reader into the copy.

Step 5 - Write a supply of rich description of your offer.

Step 6 - make the sale.

Play by the rules - Postcards and post office

The regulations only need to worry about size postcards, paper thickness, paper and color. Keep in mind that these can change at any time so check with your local post office for current regulations.

The minimum size for a postcard is 3.5 'inches tall and 5 inches long, the maximum size is 4.25' tall by 6 inches long. A standard 4 "x 6" index card can be sent to the rate card, but a card 3 "x 5" is not possible (under the minimum). The paper should be between 0.007 and 0.016 inches thick (Select paper that is designed "67-lb. Cards" to be sure). You can choose from a variety of ink colors, but the card can not be fluorescent.

Safety in Numbers

Since the probability of a response to increases in direct mail, as the prospect continues to be exposed to your message, think about sending a series of postcards.

Each postcard must be "connected" to the previous one, in some way, for example, have a common theme throughout the series or make mention of any previous card next card on each. And you should send a minimum of 3-5 postcards to attract the interest and motivate your prospect to take action. One is not just a single number, when it comes to direct marketing, once is never enough.

To your success! ......
